PsychiatryOnline Free Book of the Month - Clinical Manual for Assessment and Treatment of Suicidal Patients

Filed under: eBooks — by HML @ 4:56 pm

As a PsychiatryOnline.com customer, QMC has access to a free PDF version of a featured book every month from the American Psychiatric Publishing Inc. Bookstore.

May’s feature of the month is Clinical Manual for Assessment and Treatment of Suicidal Patients, by John A, Chiles, M.D. and Kirk D. Strosahl, Ph.D.

The authors, a psychiatrist and clinical psychologist, combine their diverse training and disciplinary backgrounds to create a workable approach to dealing with suicidal patients. Much more than merely an academic text on suicide, this thought-provoking handbook provides detained guidance and a true sense of what to do to help suicidal patients. Practitioners in all domains of health care–clinicians, residents, therapists, and graduate students in psychiatry, psychology, social work, and nursing–will benefit from this valuable and accessible work.

Will I be able to access electronic resources?

  1. Yes, via the QMC Intranet. Look under the Clinical category for “HML”.
  2. On the HML page, click on “Temporary Links to HML Resources”.

How will I know when access is once again available?
